Fresh flower planters make a beautiful addition to patio tables, garden gazebo and atriums. Make your own fresh floral centerpiece in just 20 minutes!

Supply List:

  • Peat Moss
  • Container (deep enough to soak peat moss)
  • Metal or wire planter (or any other planter you want to try)
  • Potting soil
  • Flowers (a pony pack of bedding flowers will probably give you the best value)
Soak a handful of peat moss in a container of water until the moss becomes pliable.
Place the soaked moss inside the desired planter.
Press the moss against the sides and form a small indentation or hole in the middle of the moss to allow space for the potting soil and your flowers.
Fill the holes about halfway with potting soil.
Carefully place your flowers in the moss. You can fill in any gaps or extra space with potting soil or moss to make sure the plants will be held firmly in place.
Water your centerpiece after potting until it’s good and soaked. Follow instructions on your flowers for long term care.
