Tired of winter and ready for spring? You're not alone.

Bridging the Seasons is the theme of the standard flower show planned during the 2006 Regional Home & Garden Show next weekend at TRAC in Pasco.

The flower show is organized by members of six clubs in the Blue Mountain District of Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs.

"Standard means we'll have horticulture, design and educational exhibits," said Patti Smith, second assistant director for the district.

The show is open to everyone. But preregisteration is necessary if you plan to have an educational or floral design exhibit.

"And you don't have to be a horticultural expert. We even have a class called unique branch. So no matter what it looks like, or how dried out, bring it," Smith said. Entries will be accepted between 8:30 and 10 a.m. at TRAC.

Some of the educational displays will include specialty gerainums, creating a backyard sanctuary, incorporating dwarf conifers into your garden, the Friends of Badger Mountain, the Tri-City Rose Society and the Native Plant Society, Columbia Basin Chapter.

"Bring your gardening questions -- we'll have club members on hand throughout the show," Smith said.

Admission to the Home & Garden show includes the flower show. Show hours are from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 26.
