By Loretto J. Hulse, Herald staff writer Earlier this month the Herald asked readers to send in the address of any home they saw with outstanding holiday decorations. There were more than 30 responses, too many for all to be photographed and published. Some homes inspired more than one person to send in the address. Most were sent in by neighbors who are enjoying all the hard work -- without having to do any of the labor. Some calls, letters and faxes came in from people who just happened to be in the neighborhood, were struck by the sight, and took the time to track down the address and send it in. To conduct your own holiday light tour, here are the addresses that were sent in to the Herald: Kennewick 2601 S. Irving St., Judy and Russ Homewood. This is the home that burned two years ago on Dec. 22. The family rebuilt and is ready to welcome Christmas with a giant star in lights, an inflatable carousel, dancing penguins and a fiber optic snowman on the balcony. They've also put up numerous strings of lights and garlands. Their lights come on at 6 p.m. 1021 W. 37th Place, Steve and Lorna Gowen. Tune your radio to 92.9 FM and watch as more than 15,000 lights dance to the music. Upstairs Santa is busy getting ready for his trip around the world. The display runs from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. See them at www.christmaslights4fun.com. 8113 W. Imnaha Ave., behind Columbia Center Blvd., Kay P. Metz. His display includes military and Christian themes and "something for the kids." 2311 S. Rainier Place, Dax and Mandy Logston. The caller said the family's display is outstanding. 8908 Rhode Island St., in The Ridge neighborhood, off Steptoe Street. To see this home take a left as soon as you enter the neighborhood and you'll see it at the bottom of the hill. 8949 W. Canyon Place, in The Ridge neighborhood, off Steptoe Street. This home is right on the corner facing you as you drive into the neighborhood. 54 S. Waverly St. Tom Klindt has put up so many lights that friends and neighbors tease him, saying his house rivals the one in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Christmas Carol Lane off Garfield Street. Drive up the hill on Garfield and watch for signs. Drive south on Garfield Street to 26th Avenue, watch for the huge peace symbol on one side of the street, and the lovely decorated house across from it. 4101 S. Keller St. in Canyon Lakes, Donnie Edwards. Two readers wrote in saying Edwards has done a wonderful job with his display of homemade reindeer, snowman, lights and more lights. He even has a cute display of Santa golfing while the reindeer wait with a clock. 420 W. 20th Ave., Lowell and Laura Fuher. Their display has more than 14,000 lights hooked up to 96 computer-controlled lighting circuits, which are choreographed to Christmas music. Tune your radio to 99.7 FM from 5:15 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 5:15 to 10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 5:15 to 11:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The display will be running through Jan. 6. 2513 S. Jefferson Court in Panoramic Heights. Steve and Jean Peterson have a 15-foot-tall snowman and a three-story tree, plus the home's roof is decorated with 1,000 red lights. 2414 W. 3rd Place, owned by Steve Aagaard and decorated by his son, Erik Aagaard. It took more than 72 hours to put up the lights and other decorations. The writer said it's the different sculptures and colors that make the display so spectacular. 1606 S. Quay Court. Darlene and Jerry Cowden have enough lights on their home to light up the cul-de-sac. They also have decorated with wreaths, candy canes, an inflatable chimney with Santa, wooden snowmen and a star on the roof. 1122 S. Jefferson Place. Brett Kirchhoff has handmade and painted wooden decorations plus tons of lights. It's very well organized, the writer said, and the house looks great. Pasco The Desert Plateau neighborhood; take Road 36 and Road 44 to enter the area. 5704 W. Marie St., Fred and Tammy Davenport and their son, Rick. The writer said this home is special because Rick, a high school student, did the decorating. He put up flying geese, deer lounging under trees, polar bears and more. 5612 W. Marie St. Bill and Jeanne Webber have decorated their home with many homemade displays of wooden figures, plus plenty of lights. 3903 Horizon Drive. Mike Reynolds has many lights and Christmas music playing. 4112 Meadow Beauty Drive has a lighted, large deciduous tree. The writer reports seeing it for the first time and thinking snow had covered the branches and they were illuminated by the street light. 4516 Baja Drive. Several houses along Clovernook Street are decorated. West Richland 4503 Desert Cove Court, off Bombing Range Road, Terri Belford. The caller said she has a manger scene, a snowman scene and the most lights she's ever seen. Stop by between 6 and 8 p.m. for a free candy cane and drop off a can of food for the Prosser Food Bank. Umatilla 2035 Cherry St., the Ron West family. This home, with approximately 10,000 lights, is visible from Interstate I-82. Hermiston 1017 E. Main St. Bob and Cheryl Anderson have about 3,000 lights and a dozen lighted displays. 860 E. Newport Ave. Vince and Katrina Stone have more than a dozen handmade and hand-painted wooden cutouts scattered throughout their landscaping. Grandview 2210 Waneta Road. Steve and Heidi Van Boven have two moving lighted inflatable displays, lighted clear reindeer, a Nativity scene, and choreographed music displays. There's a spotlight with a seasons greetings message and lights on nearly every bush and tree in the front yard.
